The 10 most wanted sex offenders were arrested in Polk County

POLK COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) – A Livingston man who is on Texas’s Top 10 Most Wanted list was arrested in Polk County in early July.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, 32-year-old Spencer Alexander Smith of Livingston was arrested on July 18 following an extensive search throughout Polk County.

Smith is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child.

According to a post on the sheriff’s office’s Facebook page, the operation required hours of searches and coordination between local and state law enforcement agencies, including the Texas DPS.

Smith was arrested without incident and is currently in the Polk County Jail on $1 million bail.
