Two arrested for illegal firearms in Camarillo

CAMARILLO, Calif. – Officers with the Camarillo Directed Enforcement Unit have arrested two people for illegal possession of weapons, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the VCSO, officers searched the home of a 27-year-old Camarillo man in the 1500 block of North Shepard Dr. and made contact with a 26-year-old Calabasas woman who was inside the home.

Investigators found a ghost gun, cocaine and other narcotics and later arrested the two suspects for the following offenses:

  • Health and Safety Code 11351 / Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale
  • Health and Safety Code 11370 / Possession of a Controlled Substance with a Firearm
  • Criminal Code 27545 / Unauthorized transfer of a firearm

Both individuals are in custody and being held on bail while awaiting trial, the VCSO said.
