The coroner releases the identity of the woman killed in a vehicle crash in East St. Louis

The identity of the woman who died in a car crash in East St. Louis this week was announced Thursday by the county coroner.

Kandace Spinks, 30, of Maple Street, Cottage Hills, died in the 5:18 a.m. crash on 8th Street Tuesday, according to St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr.

The Illinois State Police are investigating on behalf of the East St. Louis Police Department.

No further information was released.
