Fremont girl reported missing after father found dead

FREMONT – A 3-year-old Fremont girl was reported missing Friday after her father was found dead in a nearby town, police said.

According to Fremont police, Ellie Lorenzo was last seen at the Casa Arroyo Apartments, 405 Rancho Arroyo Parkway, around 6 p.m. Thursday.

The girl’s mother reported her missing at around 12:25 p.m. on Friday, police said.

According to the mother, the father was supposed to return the girl on Friday evening according to a custody agreement, but she learned that he had been found dead in a nearby town, according to police.

“Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family and we assure you that we are doing everything in our power to find the child,” police said in a press release. “We are asking the public for help in the search and safe return of the missing child.”

The girl is described as black, approximately 3 feet tall and weighing 60 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
