Caroline Co. House Fire Under Investigation | Latest news

HILLSBORO, MD – The Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating a house fire that injured a firefighter on May 7.

Officials are talking about a fire 21914 Main Street began in a first floor bedroom and was reported by residents of the home at 8:16 p.m

The residents were able to escape safely along with several dogs.

Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company crews spent about an hour putting out the flames. During this time, a firefighter was injured and taken to a local medical center for evaluation.

No other injuries were reported.

Damage is estimated at $100,000.
