1 dead, 2 injured after mass accident in Moore

MOORE, Oklahoma (KFOR) – One person is dead and two others were injured in a five-vehicle crash in Moore Friday evening.

Following the incident, southbound lanes of I-35 near SW 19th Street were closed for several hours.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said 26-year-old Marissa Brianne Byrd was taken to Norman Regional Medical Center, where medical personnel pronounced her dead after sustaining injuries in the crash.

Two other drivers were taken to OU Medical Center where they were treated and released.

The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
