Irish woman killed in hit-and-run accident in Peru – The Irish Times

An Irish woman (36) was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Peru.

Emily Colette Daly died when she was hit by a bus that failed to stop in the coastal city of Trujillo.

The incident, in which she was crossing the road at around 4 a.m., was recorded by a surveillance camera. Seconds later, she was hit by the bus as it drove away.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is aware of the situation and is providing consular assistance to the family.
