Amazon employee arrested after bomb threat at North Haven logistics center

NORTH HAVEN, Connecticut (WTNH) – A 32-year-old Bridgeport man who works for Amazon is facing charges for allegedly making a bomb threat against its North Haven fulfillment center.

According to North Haven police, Michael Pierre made the threat around 11 p.m. on July 14. The center was evacuated and police dogs and a bomb disposal squad searched the building. No explosives were found.


According to police, Pierre made the call from near the building. He is charged with misuse of 911 – false alarm, first-degree false report of an incident and first-degree breach of peace.

He was given bail of $25,000.
