North Texas man injured by boat propeller in boating accident

EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Texas – A man was hospitalized and a woman was arrested following a boating accident in Tarrant County.

According to the Tarrant Regional Water District, a man fell overboard from a boat on Eagle Mountain Lake. A woman piloting the boat then turned the engine over, causing the propeller to strike the man, seriously injuring him, according to TRWD.

The man was taken by boat to the Twin Points Park boat ramp, where Azle Fire Department EMS was waiting. According to TRWD, the man was then flown by Careflight Air Ambulance to a Fort Worth hospital, where he remains on life support.

Game wardens from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Service arrested the woman for drunken boating.

According to TRWD, the investigation is still ongoing.
