Four people arrested after inter-agency traffic check

ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) — Four people were arrested following a police search of the Department of Transportation. Multiple agencies were involved in the investigation, including the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, Colonie Police, Menands Police, New York State Police and the DMV.

Albany County Sheriff’s officials say the raid took place on Wednesday and 184 traffic stops were made. The goal of the operation was to put an end to stolen motor vehicles, fake license plates, unregistered and uninsured cars, unlicensed drivers and traffic safety.

Two people were arrested for possession of crack cocaine and MDMA pills, one person was arrested for driving without a license and another person was arrested on a warrant. Three fake temporary license plates were seized.
