Hawaii Island Police are asking for the public’s help in locating 26-year-old Sun Popovich of Mt. View, who was reported missing.

Popovich was last seen in downtown Hilo around 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2024. She was wearing a gray baseball shirt with a black long-sleeved undershirt, gray “snap-on” sweatpants, and sandals. She is described as Native American, with light brown skin, is 5’4″ tall, weighs 135 pounds, has long, straight black hair, and brown eyes.

Police are asking anyone with information on Popovich’s whereabouts to call the police non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or contact Officer Justin Dodo of the South Hilo Patrol at (808) 961-2213.
