“Buffalo Bill” Cody was born William Cody in LeClaire in 1846. He became a famous figure in the “Wild West”, notably through his original Wild West show.

The field opens at 10:30 a.m. each day. Refreshments will be available and visitors will be able to listen to music, tour Boomtown Canvas Camp, watch historical demonstrations, play children’s games from the 1880s and meet legends of the West.

At 12:30 p.m. each day, the one-hour, 20-minute live extravaganza Buffalo Bill’s Best of the Wild West will take place in an arena. Wild West legends Buffalo Bill, Annie Oakley, stunt riders, snipers, a Gatling gun, saddle riders, a stagecoach, horse bandits and cavalry will perform scenes straight out of the Wild West original.
