Looking back at the recruits’ first official visit

It’s been a slow summer for the Hurricanes, but someone who has kept up his pace is head coach Mario Cristobal and his ability to recruit some of the best talent in the country on the weekend. According to 247sports, the University of Miami has the 4th-ranked recruiting class for 2024, and they continue to rise in those rankings.

16 recruits toured the campus and facilities over the weekend and many were amazed and shocked at how well everything went. With many decisions being made for the Class of 2025 in the next few months, a future could lie with the Miami Hurricanes as they continue to stand out among recruits.

Some have already committed, like tight end Luka Gilbert, TE Brock Schott and IOL Takaylen Muex, but they believe several others will commit as well. Four-star edge rusher Zion Grady is one of the top talents Miami has been trying to sign for some time, and he has the Hurricanes at the top of his list of teams. One of the highlights of the weekend was showing that this is no ordinary college town, with fine dining and an exciting boat ride around Biscayne Bay with some of the coaches to get a taste of what life as a ‘Cane can be like.
