Driver dead, 3 passengers injured in attack on I-5 in Washington near Federal Way

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. (AP) — A driver was found dead and three passengers injured in a stabbing and shooting attack on Interstate 5 in Washington state on Wednesday, police officials said.

Rick Johnson, police officer in Washington state to KING-TV that police found the driver dead from a stab wound south of Seattle near Federal Way on Wednesday afternoon.


A man who was in the passenger seat of the BMW was taken to a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, Johnson said. Two other passengers, a woman and a man who had already exited the vehicle when police arrived, were taken to a hospital with stab wounds, he said.

Johnson said he knew nothing about the condition of the passengers.

He said there was no danger to the public. Police were with the passengers at the hospital and speaking to witnesses as they investigate the incident, he said.
