Fatal accident leads to closure of a road in Buffalo Township

Due to a fatal car accident, the busy Ekastown Road in Buffalo Township remains closed.

Butler County 911 was notified of the accident involving a car and a pedestrian shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Police and emergency responders are still investigating the accident. Ekastown Road is closed from Sarver Road (Route 228) in the south to Coal Hollow Road in the north. All traffic is being diverted.

The Butler County Coroner’s Office confirmed they were called to the scene but did not arrive until shortly before noon.

Buffalo Township police could not immediately be reached for comment.
