Investigations underway into the shooting of a man in Koreatown

Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in Koreatown.

They were called to the scene shortly after 4:20 a.m. after learning of the incident, which occurred near Sixth Street and Wilton Avenue, according to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department.

When they arrived, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

His identity has not yet been established.

Witnesses reported to police that five possible suspects fled the area in a vehicle.

The investigators did not provide a description of the suspects or the car.
