Pete Dunn attacks former stablemate and signals his turnaround | WWE News

Pete Dunne, former member of the Brawling Brutes stable, launched a devastating attack on his former teammate Shaemus following his victory over “Big” Bronson Reed on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

The attack came after Bronson attempted to hit the Irishman from the side after the match ended. However, Pete Dunne intervened and thwarted the attack, after which Shaemus attempted to shake his hand. Dunne left the ring, only to attack Shaemus from behind before Reed hit the Irishman with a Tsunami over the ropes.
Why did Pete Dunne attack Shaemus? It is currently unclear why Dunne attacked Shaemus, but it is likely that the WWE creative team decided to go this route after Dunne’s teammate Tyler Bate was reportedly sidelined with a torn pectoral muscle after sustaining an injury on July 2 in NXT.

Bates’ surgery was successful, but there is currently no estimated timeline for his return. Until then, Dunne will likely be at loggerheads with Shaemus for the coming weeks. It will be interesting to see how this feud plays out over the next few days. Considering that Shaemus is already an established star in the company, this feud will improve Dunne’s position and it is possible that the Irishman will outperform his former teammate by the time this feud ends.

Dunne has yet to explain his actions, as something similar happened last week when he fought Reed and Reed tried to attack him after the match was over. However, Shaemus stepped in and saved his teammate from the attack, but Dunne left the ring with a clean face.

There is also the possibility that Dunne and Reed could join forces and form a new stable of their own, but that is pure speculation at the moment, so take it with a grain of salt. Hopefully, there will be more answers during next week’s RAW as to the direction this feud will take, as we may see Dunne come to the ring to explain his actions.
