The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a serious injury accident

RUSSELLVILLE, Kentucky – The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a personal injury crash.

The sheriff’s office responded to a call about an accident with injuries around 1 a.m. Monday. The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 68-80 East near Pool Road.

According to a news release, officers identified the motor vehicle as a 2003 Buick Rendezvous driven by Alex C. Wilson, 24, of Russellville.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Wilson was driving the vehicle westbound on US Highway 68-80. The vehicle left the roadway on the left shoulder, crossed the median across both lanes, overturned and collided with a rock wall. The cause of the accident is unknown.

Wilson was rescued from the vehicle by Logan County EMS and the Auburn Rural Fire Department.

Wilson suffered serious injuries and was transported by AirEvac to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

The accident is being investigated.
