Man and woman dead, child injured in fire in Largo, MD

A man and a woman were killed and a child was seriously injured in an apartment fire in Largo early Tuesday.

A violent fire broke out from the roof of the three-story building.

WTTG reported that Prince George’s County firefighters entered the building early in the operation and rescued the child and a man.

Due to the conditions and the threat of collapse, the crews were evacuated.

After daybreak, firefighters said the body of a woman was also discovered.

The cause of the major fire is currently being investigated.
