Horror: Child fights for life after being hit by motorbike in Warwickshire village

A child is fighting for his life after being hit by a motorbike in Warwickshire.

Officers from Warwickshire Police were called to a field near Old Brickyard Lane in Napton, a village in Stratford-upon-Avon, on Saturday evening.

Police said a child was involved in a collision with a small motorcycle and suffered life-threatening injuries.

A village show, the Napton Horse, Pony and Dog Show, took place all day.

However, it was unclear whether the incident occurred during the show itself.

A Warwickshire Police spokesman said on Saturday evening: “This evening a young child was taken to hospital with life-threatening head injuries following a collision with a small motorbike in a field near Old Brickyard Lane in Napton.

“If you have dashcam or phone footage of this, please contact us quoting incident 275 of May 25th.”

Witnesses to the incident were asked to come forward.

In its advertising, the Napton Horse, Pony and Dog Show describes itself as “a traditional village show in the heart of rural Warwickshire. Fun for all the family and an enjoyable day out.”
