A jury has convicted a 76-year-old Pennsauken man of repeatedly sexually abusing a young girl, Camden County District Attorney Grace MacAulay announced.

Joseph Jackson was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault of a victim under the age of 13 and endangering the welfare of a child – all second-degree charges.

The verdict was announced on June 28 following a hearing in Camden County Superior Court.

In 2018, the sexual abuse began when the victim was nine years old, prosecutors said, and occurred in Jackson’s home between April and December of that year.

During the same period, incidents also occurred in Riverton (Burlington County).

Jackson was arrested by Pennsauken police in March 2019.

The verdict is scheduled for December 6.
