inDrive partners with MIC Global to provide accident and health insurance for drivers

MIC Global (MIC), a provider of comprehensive embedded microinsurance solutions, is collaborating with inDrive, an international platform specializing in mobility and urban services and local insurers.

Their goal is to introduce expanded microinsurance options to inDrive drivers and passengers worldwide, starting in Latin America.

The focus of these offers is initially on coverage against personal injuries and medical costs.

Arsen Tomsky, CEO of inDrive, commented: “At inDrive, our community is at the heart of everything we do. By partnering with MIC Global, we are taking an important step to ensure their well-being and financial security.”

“This initiative is part of our broader commitment to empower our users and improve their experience on our platform.”

As inDrive’s platform gains traction globally, the company is expanding its service offering and expanding internationally by launching new integrated microinsurance products. These initiatives aim to support the driver community, drive user retention and attract new app users.

Andries Smit, Vice President of New Ventures, inDrive, said: “We are excited to partner with MIC Global. They share our mission to fight social injustice and help drivers and passengers in emerging markets around the world. I am thrilled with the speed with which MIC has worked with us to develop great solutions. The opportunity is tremendous.”

Supported by MIC’s MiIncome digital reinsurance solution through local insurers, inDrive and MIC are working together on a range of integrated products tailored to the everyday financial needs of inDrive drivers and passengers.

The initial focus is on covering personal accident risks (accidental death and permanent incapacity to work) as well as accident-related medical costs (hospital cost reimbursement and reimbursement of medical costs).

These offers provide drivers with financial assistance to cover hospital and medical expenses and protect their families in the event of permanent disability or death.

Jamie Crystal, co-founder and CEO of MIC Global, added: “We are excited to partner with inDrive as we continue our mission to bring our MiIncome reinsurance solution, with its technology-enabled risk triggers for income loss, to underserved people around the world.”

“We are excited about the future as we work closely with inDrive to develop new embedded microinsurance innovations that provide peace of mind to drivers and users.”
