Kevin Spacey has admitted to being “intrusive” and “crossing boundaries”, despite being acquitted of allegations of sexual harassment by four men last year.

In a candid interview, the disgraced Hollywood actor admitted that he has been struggling with suicidal thoughts since he was accused of sexual assault by four men in 2018.

Speaking to Piers Morgan Uncensored, the two-time Oscar winner said that his millions in legal fees have left him on the brink of bankruptcy and forced him to sell his house.

He went on to say that he had spoken to a “significant” number of men to personally apologize for his past behavior and that he intends to “get back in the saddle.”

When Mr Morgan asked him what he considered bad behavior, he said, “Crossing boundaries.”

When asked by Piers Morgan what he considered bad behavior, Spacey said: “Crossing boundaries.”

“Being too pushy, touching someone sexually in a way that I didn’t know at the time that they didn’t want. Personally, I’ve caressed people, I’ve been gentle with people, that’s just how I am.

“You’re making advances to someone and you don’t want to be aggressive. You want to be gentle. You want to see if the person responds positively.

“I am 150 percent willing to take responsibility for the things I have done and the mistakes I have made. Sometimes it is really, really bad behavior.”

Spacey was one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood until allegations of sexual misconduct emerged in 2017 and streaming giant Netflix cut ties with the actor.

He was accused of abusing his fame and power to commit nine sexual assaults on four men during his tenure as artistic director of the Old Vic theatre. However, he insisted the allegations were “madness” and accused the plaintiffs of “lying for money”.

In July 2023, the actor was acquitted of charges of sexual assault against the four men following a sensational trial at Southwark Crown Court, in which Sir Elton John testified in his defense.

After being linked to Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell and being photographed with the convicted felon on a tour of Buckingham Palace in 2002, Spacey denied ever having been to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s island.

When asked about his friendship with the American, who died in prison in 2019, Spacey said: “He was not my friend. I am not a confidant. I never spent time with him.”

Spacey stars alongside Mena Suvari in Sam Mendes’ 1999 Hollywood film “American Beauty.”
For his role in “American Beauty” as Lester Burnham, a man in a midlife crisis, he received the Oscar for Best Actor in 2020.

On the same day that the first allegations were made against him in 2017, Spacey also spoke about his sexuality and came out as gay in a statement.

He said: “I have had relationships with both men and women. I have loved and had romantic encounters with men all my life and have now chosen to live as a gay man.”

When he first spoke about his sexuality, Spacey told Morgan, “I have not come out as a man, and I have been vehemently opposed to it for a very long time. And now that I have come out – regardless of the fact that my coming out was not the best party ever – I want to try to be a positive voice for those who are struggling to accept themselves and their lives.”

When asked about his current relationships, meeting a partner and his insights, he replied: “Well, if I’ve learned anything, it’s that the first step doesn’t necessarily have to be physical.”

“So I’m confident and believe that I can meet someone who is willing to judge me based on their experiences and not the headlines.”

When asked where he currently lives and whether he will file for bankruptcy, Spacey said, “This week, there will be a foreclosure in my current home in Baltimore.”

“My house is being auctioned.

The two-time Oscar winner has defiantly vowed not to give up acting after spending seven years in “exile” (Spacey here in Los Angeles in 1996 after winning Best Supporting Actor for his role in “The Usual Suspects”).

“I’m not quite sure where I’m going to live now, but I’ve been in Baltimore since we started filming ‘House of Cards’ there.”

“There were a few times when I thought I would file for divorce, but we somehow managed to avoid it, at least until today.”

“I am still behind on many legal bills that I have not been able to pay.

“Many millions, yes. The house itself costs many millions.”

When asked by Mr Morgan what he planned to do in the near future, he said: “Get back in the saddle.”
