Man to appear in court over alleged sexual assault – FBC News

A man in his twenties will appear before the Labasa Magistrate’s Court today on charges of sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl.

It is alleged that on the night of June 27 this year, the accused, who is known to the family, offered to take the victim from her grandfather’s house, where she was sleeping, to her mother after she woke up crying.

On the way, the accused is said to have sexually abused the victim before bringing her home.

The victim described the incident to his mother, who then filed a report with the Nabouwalu police station.

The defendant is accused of sexual abuse.
