Nigerian aviation authority revokes ten private jet licenses

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended ten private jet operators for failing to complete the recertification process required by the regulator.

A statement signed by the NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, said the licenses were revoked from those who violated Part 18.3.4 of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Rules 2023, which prohibits holders of a Non-Commercial Flight Permit (PNCF) from using their aircraft to transport passengers, cargo or mail for remuneration, which amounts to a commercial operation or charter service.

The suspended operators include Azikel Dredging Nigeria Ltd, Bli-Aviation Safety Services, Ferry Aviation Developments Ltd, Matrix Energy Ltd, Marrietta Management Services Ltd, Worldwide Skypaths Services, Mattini Airline Services Ltd, Aero Lead Ltd, Sky Bird Air Ltd and Ezuma Jets Ltd.

NCAA revokes licenses of ten private jet operators

This follows the suspension of three private jet operators in April for operating commercial flights, after which the regulator ordered that all holders of non-commercial flight permits be reassessed no later than April 19, 2024.

The NCAA advised travelers to avoid charter airline services without a valid NCAA Air Operator Certificate.
