Man shot in Morris Park, Bronx

A man was shot dead on a Bronx street on Sunday, police said.

Shortly after 5:35 p.m., gunfire rang out near the corner of Sacket Avenue and Williamsbridge Road in Morris Park, police said.

When police arrived at the scene, they discovered the man with gunshot wounds to the head and chest.

Paramedics rushed him to Jacobi Medical Center, but he could not be saved.

Police were still working to identify the victim later Sunday.

There were no immediate arrests.
