Early morning shooting on East Main Street leaves one dead | State

VISALIA, California — According to Visalia police, a man was shot and killed on East Main Street early this morning.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., Visalia PD patrol officers responded to a shooting in the 200 block of East Main Street. Upon arrival, officers found the victim dead from gunshot wounds.

The investigation has been taken over by detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit. Several witnesses left the scene before officers arrived.
