SPCA gears up for annual Wine, Wags and Brews event

Local wineries, breweries and restaurants will offer samples at this pet-friendly event, benefitting the animals at the SPCA Serving Erie County.

BUFFALO, NY — The SPCA Serving Erie County will celebrate Western New York’s local wineries, breweries and restaurants at its upcoming social event, Wine, Wags, and Brews, taking place Wednesday June 12 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The dog-friendly event is open to animal lovers ages 21 and older and their pets. Attendees will receive drink samples from participating wineries throughout the evening. The SPCA also plans to have raffle prizes and pet-themed exhibitors for visitors to enjoy.

General admission tickets to Wine, Wags and Brews can be purchased for $45, with a designated driver ticket option of $25. Guests can purchase VIP tickets for $75 to receive early entry, access to the VIP tent and exclusive gifts.

“This is the elite social event of the season for dogs,” said Gina Lattuca, communications director for the Erie County SPCA. She said the SPCA expects more than 60 vendors to join the dog-friendly event, including pet-themed businesses.

Funds raised at Wine, Wags, and Brews will benefit the animals at the SPCA.

“All the work we do to keep pets with their families and to keep families together is funded solely by donations,” Lattuca explained. “Events like Wine, Wags and Brews are very important. It’s what keeps us going. It’s what allows us to offer these services to the community.”

Ticket information and a list of participating vendors are available online at yourspca.org/wwb24.

The SPCA is also hosting an 80s-themed adoption sale for the summer. Full details can be found here.
