Investigations into fatal hit-and-run accident in South Lebanon Township in April continue

The investigation into the April 30 hit-and-run accident in South Lebanon Township that killed 77-year-old Casimira Pakola is ongoing.

Pakola was described in her obituary as a woman whose “love permeated her entire being.” She leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Richard Pakola, five children and nine grandchildren. Her obituary states that she was a member of the Catholic community in Lebanon at St. Gregory and later St. Cecilia since moving here in 1976.

The incident occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. on April 30, when South Lebanon Township Police were called to the scene of a pedestrian being struck by a car.
