Incident forces police to visit hardware store in Edwardsville, Illinois

Both Glen Carbon and Edwardsville police were called to Home Depot on the evening of June 12 for an incident.

“There was an incident that resulted in a police call involving people pulling pranks that they were planning to post on YouTube (for internet credit),” said Edwardsville Deputy Police Chief Michael Lybarger. “Officers are still trying to determine if a crime was committed, and if so, it is most likely a disturbance.”

Glen Carbon Police assisted Edwardsville at the large storage unit location by locating and arresting the suspects, but officers on scene clarified that the case is the jurisdiction of the Edwardsville Police Department, who must process and comment on it.
