Man allegedly kidnapped a baby and sexually abused a woman in Laplace

LAPLACE, Louisiana – The St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in locating a missing baby and the man who may be with the child.

Investigators are looking for Donell Hyams and the infant, 8-month-old Phil Baker.

A woman said she was traveling through Laplace when she was sexually assaulted and dragged from a vehicle. She told officers the toddler was left in the vehicle during the escape.
