Some Delta flights are being delayed at Eppley Airport as a result of a federal investigation

Eppley Airfield in Omaha is reporting some Delta Air Lines are affected as the airline continues to deal with disruptions from the CrowdStrike outage. As of Tuesday afternoon, four Delta arrivals and three departures were delayed. According to AP News, Delta has canceled more than 6,600 flights since the outage last week. U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg says the U.S. has launched an investigation to ensure the airline complies with the law during the disruptions. Buttigieg says the investigation will ensure all passengers are taken care of during the cancellations and delays. In a statement, Delta says it is fully cooperating with the investigation. The airline’s full statement reads as follows: “Delta has received the Department’s Notice of Investigation and is cooperating fully. We remain fully focused on restoring our operations after cybersecurity vendor CrowdStrike’s faulty Windows update rendered IT systems around the world inoperable. Across our operations, Delta teams are working tirelessly to care for customers affected by delays and cancellations and make their lives easier again as we work to restore the reliable, on-time service they expect from Delta.”
