Police say child shot himself after finding loaded ghost gun under bed

A child shot himself with a loaded ghost gun while playing hide-and-seek under a bed on Sunday night, injuring his arm, Prince George’s County police said.

Police arrested and charged a relative of the girl, Jayvon Thomas, 20, of Cheverly, with several weapons offenses, including possession and unsecured storage of the weapon, police said. Thomas is in custody at the county jail.
