Teacher is not allowed to suspend her second graders

A little rebellion in children is completely normal. But a teacher was amazed at the behavior of two second graders who took their resistance to a whole other level and tried to break into the principal’s office.

The students showed a complete disregard for authority and there was little the school could do about it.

In a post on Reddit, the teacher expressed serious concerns about the extreme behavioral issues she observed in the two young girls, which spelled a worrisome future for Gen Alpha.

Considering how many teachers report outlandish and inappropriate behavior among their students, it appears that many elementary school students are no longer taught the importance of respect and manners.

Unfortunately, if something doesn’t change quickly, it can lead to an increasingly anarchic change in human nature.

The anonymous teacher briefly described the half-hour incident she witnessed while working in the main office. “Two little second-graders in trouble told the gym teacher that if the police tried to arrest them for stealing, they would ‘beat them with clubs and kick them in the balls!’ she remembered.

The students’ rebellious behavior continued to escalate.

When the girls realized that there was a toy confiscated from the school in the principal’s office, they tried to break in with an ink pen and retrieve it. When that didn’t work, they pulled the fire alarm, probably to start a school-wide shooting spree.

Luckily, their plan backfired and the fire alarm only sounded in the office. The girls then attributed their behavior to naivety, claiming it was just a joke and that they “didn’t mean to do it.”

Despite the girls’ absurd behavior and inappropriate language, the principal could only call their parents to pick them up.

When the headmistress finally intervened, the girls continued their blatant disrespect, calling her names and demanding that she leave them alone. The principal then called their parents together for a meeting and instructed them to take the girls home.

“It’s usually no joke here that parents have to quit their jobs to have their children, so I can imagine it wasn’t a nice evening for (the principal),” the teacher added.

Surprisingly, the principal could only call the student’s parents.

“Under state law, elementary school students here cannot be suspended,” the teacher wrote. “If a student is unable to cope with the room they are in, they will be moved to a different classroom at a completely different grade level for the day… and will still be expected to complete all work.”

Many school districts and states across America have banned suspension for elementary school students, particularly those in preschool through second grade. This decision is driven by the belief that suspension is “counterproductive” and will “only make it harder for young learners to stay in school,” according to a TikTok posted by the ACLU of Nebraska.

While this is a valid point of view, it also appears to allow these young students to act with little to no consequences.

Generation Alpha’s collective disobedience is spiraling out of control, leaving many teachers fearful of the future.

Although most second-grade students do not attempt to break into the principal’s office, the girls’ behavior was not an isolated incident. This unruly behavior is becoming more common, and teachers and staff have so little authority or control that they are losing patience and willingness to help these children.

The young generation adopts values so nihilistic that nothing can mislead them. They act hostilely and transgress any authority that dares to intervene.

Children act eccentrically and children can be stubborn. But it gets to the point where students behave outrageously outrageously just because they can get away with it, which points to a larger problem.

These patterns can be traced to a trend that teachers have been highlighting for some time: parents are not raising their children with the level of discipline they need. Many of them choose a flawed form of gentle parenting, and this method contributes to the downfall of their children.

It is unknown how often the girls described in the Reddit post misbehave or what type of parenting they experience at home. Still, many Reddit users argued that their parents were likely responsible for their unacceptable behavior.

Generation Alpha’s behavior is getting worse.

Teachers from all over the country are commenting on the amazing behavior they are seeing in their young students. At this point, teachers can only do so much without having to expend all of their energy creating structure and order with their students.

With this in mind, parents have a responsibility to use their resources to keep their children from falling down a dark path that only gets worse with time.

At the end of the day, children who are able to misbehave in such ways without remorse are demonstrating their desperate need for attention and guidance, and this must come from parents above all else.
