STOCKTON, CA (July 29, 2024) – One person died in a motorcycle crash on Highway 99 near Wilson Way.

The California Highway Patrol was called to the accident at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. When they arrived, they learned that a 56-year-old man was traveling south in the left lane on a 2017 Harley Davidson at about 80 miles per hour. He then changed lanes and collided with a 2022 Toyota traveling at about 65 miles per hour. From there, the motorcyclist landed on the road and was thrown from the motorcycle.

Shortly afterwards, rescue workers arrived and found the motorcycle in lane 3 and the driver, who had succumbed to his injuries despite wearing a helmet.

Authorities did not disclose his name.

Fortunately, none of the Toyota’s three occupants, including two passengers in their 70s, were injured.

Officials believe alcohol played a role in the crash. If anyone has any further information, please contact the CHP.
