Shreveport man wanted for raping girl

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana (KSLA) – Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit are searching for a man accused of raping a minor.

According to police, 39-year-old Julius Amos is wanted in connection with an assault that allegedly occurred in June. Officers were initially contacted by a hospital about a girl who had been sexually assaulted.

As a result of the investigation, detectives issued an arrest warrant for Amos on a charge of second-degree rape. Anyone who knows where Amos is should call SPD at 318-673-7300.
