Police search for man who caught woman and baby speeding in south St. Louis

“What he is doing is just disgusting and disturbing. He will attract attention and I hope the police catch him,” said a neighbor.

STROUD TOWNSHIP, PA — It looked like a normal day at the busy intersection of Chippewa Street and South Grand Boulevard in south St. Louis.

At 5 On Your Side you could see many people walking, waiting for buses or just enjoying the beautiful day outside.

But then our team met Wayne Wilkinson, who knows what else is going on in his neighborhood and on social media.

“So many people talk about it. They say, ‘Can you believe it? There’s a guy out there. He’s showing what he can do,'” Wilkinson said.

St. Louis police have not released the number of suspects but confirmed they received calls reporting a man “exposing himself and engaging in indecent behavior.”

A caller told police on Monday that the stranger exposed himself in front of his wife and baby.

A woman also reported that a man committed a similarly inappropriate act right in front of her.

“I mean, it’s disturbing,” said neighbor Jill Hill.

The victims also told police that the man had red hair and was wearing a yellow dress at the time. This is currently the only description that police have of the wanted exhibitionist.

“People are really surprised by this, but nothing surprises me anymore,” Wilkinson said.

Officials searched the area, but so far there is no trace of him.

In the meantime, Hill, an avid hiker, looks after them.

“I just want to remind people to always be aware of their surroundings. I do, and I carry a gun to protect myself. I think if we see this guy, we’ll be able to spot him,” Hill said.

“And at some point he will get caught because he stands out,” Wilkinson said.

St. Louis police are asking anyone in the area to call 911 immediately if they see the man.
