Fraudsters ‘suspending’ NNPP leaders to be arrested soon – Chieftain

Mall. Abdulmalik Sulaiman, a leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has raised the alarm over the machinations of a shady group that allegedly dissolved the party’s National Executive Council (NEC), saying those responsible would soon be arrested by the police.

Sulaiman stated this in response to a communiqué announcing the dissolution of an NWC led by Dr. Ajuji Ahmed and Dipo Olayokun following a meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the NNPP on May 27, 2024.

But Sulaiman, in a statement, urged Nigerians and relevant authorities not to heed the communiqué, stressing that the party did not know the persons who had announced the dissolution of the Ajuji-led NWC of the NNPP.

He also described as ridiculous the suspension of the only governor elected on the party’s platform, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the expulsion of the party’s national leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, from the party by the same fraudsters.

Sulaiman said: “Our numerous supporters and the media have informed us about the machinations of some sponsored elements unknown to the party who allegedly dissolved the National Executive Council (NEC). This is nothing more than wishful thinking by drunken ne’er-do-wells who want to foment discord within the party,” Suleiman said.

He said: “We have been told that these individuals are not acting alone but are being pushed by some dissatisfied elements who have now been shown the way of the party because their actions have been able to thwart the progressive advance of the party.”

Suleiman called on security forces to help the party arrest the masterminds behind these actions, as this would help prevent a disruption of public peace.

The NNPP chief warned that if the fraudsters continue their activities without being caught, it could be the end of peace and order.

Suleiman commented: “This is the height of illegality and stupidity. How can anyone in their right mind consider such a thing?”

They are the personalities who have worked tirelessly for the renaissance that the party is experiencing in the country today.

Suleiman said that there is no political party in the country that currently has such a peaceful atmosphere as the NNPP: “The NWC led by Dr. Ajuji has stabilized the party to the admiration of all party members across the country.”

He appealed to the public not to pay attention to the fraudsters and called on the media to always verify information from the relevant party organs before making it public.
