Fundraiser for the family of a pregnant woman who died during the storms in Louisiana: Ticket prices, raffle prizes

WEST BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (BRPROUD) – A raffle has been launched to support the family of a pregnant woman who died in a storm on May 13, 2024.

Kristin Browning, 31, was killed when a tree fell on her home during last month’s storm. State officials said she was nine months pregnant and the fetus did not survive. The sheriff’s office said an adult male and a 5-year-old were also in the trailer and were taken to a local hospital.

“Justin is a former CES employee, so we wanted to do something for him in hopes of raising money for him and his daughter. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Justin,” said Kim Frazee of Compliance EnviroSystems, LLC.

The raffle was supposed to start on July 1, but has been postponed until Friday, July 12. Frazee said they hope to raise as much as possible for the family.

The following items are included in the raffle:

  • Purple and gold double column burner from Goodwood Hardware
  • A 5-gallon jambalaya pot and burner from Goodwood Hardware
  • Purple and Gold Cajun Enamel Pot, 6 Quart, by Goodwood Hardware

Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased through Venmo (@kfrazee79) or Cashapp ($KimFrazee). Frazee said checks can be made out directly to “Justin Browning.”

Tickets can be purchased with cash at the company’s office at 1401 Seabord Drive in Baton Rouge. Frazee said Browning and his daughter will conduct the ticket raffle at their office.
