Cuba Gooding Jr. is accused of raping a woman twice in a New York hotel room in 2013

A new allegation of sexual assault has been brought against Cuba Gooding Jr. in a new civil lawsuit.

The actor was accused of raping a woman twice in his then hotel room in New York City in 2013, according to diversity.

Gooding Jr.’s attorney, Mark Heller, denied the anonymous accuser’s claims in a statement to PEOPLE.

“The allegations against Cuba Gooding Jr. are false and perjured,” Heller said. “There was absolutely no conduct of a criminal nature as alleged.”

“We expect the case to be dropped,” Heller continued. “It concerns an alleged incident that occurred over seven years ago and for which no criminal charges were filed at the time.”

The unidentified woman claims that the Oscar winner invited her to his hotel room, where he began undressing in front of her. diversity was reported from a civil lawsuit filed on Tuesday.

The woman claims the actor blocked the door, pushed her onto the bed and raped her twice.

She is suing Gooding Jr. for an alleged “crime of violence” committed because of his gender and is seeking a jury trial, according to diversityShe is demanding compensation and punitive damages of an unspecified amount.

This is the latest sexual assault charge against Gooding Jr., who already faces six counts of sexual abuse and sexual assault.

In 2019, he pleaded not guilty to charges of groping three women in New York nightclubs in 2018.
