Suspect arrested for involvement in fatal car crash in which his girlfriend died

MIAMI DADE COUNTY, Florida. – Authorities have made an arrest in connection with a fatal car crash that occurred in Miami-Dade County earlier this year.

Police had previously named 38-year-old Marvin Cisneros Garcia as the person responsible for the accident in which his girlfriend, 33-year-old Meylin Munoz Romero, was killed.

According to authorities, Garcia, a Nicaraguan citizen, fled the scene after the crash, leaving Munoz Romero behind without even attempting to render assistance or report the accident to emergency responders.

A total of six people were injured in the accident, which occurred on April 28 in the area of ​​Northwest 17th Avenue and 95th Street in unincorporated Miami-Dade County.

After initially setting bail at $50,000, a Miami-Dade judge ruled that Garcia would be held without bail due to the nature of the case. Garcia is also being held on immigration charges.
