Rochester man arrested after state police pursuit, multiple active warrants

FULTON COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana State Police announced the arrest of a 43-year-old Rochester man after he led a chase through Cass and Fulton counties on Thursday, May 2.

According to authorities, on May 2 around 9 p.m., a state trooper was patrolling State Road 25 in Cass County when he saw a yellow motorcycle that did not have its taillight illuminated.

The man driving the motorcycle was identified as 43-year-old Jamie Corbin.

Official documents indicate the trooper attempted to stop Corbin on State Road 25 near County Road 900 North.

The trooper then said Corbin failed to stop and led him on a chase through Cass and Fulton County roads, reaching speeds of up to 80 miles per hour.

The pursuit then reportedly continued north on State Road 25 before coming to a stop at County Road 950 South.

Authorities then said Corbin fled the scene before later being taken into custody.

ISP then searched the motorcycle and discovered suspected methamphetamine.

Authorities managed to gather information that they said led them to believe Corbin was under the influence.

Corbin was taken to the hospital for a certified test before being taken to the Fulton County Jail.

Officials say further investigation revealed Corbin had two active warrants in Howard County.

Corbin was charged with resisting law enforcement with a vehicle (previous), a level five felony, possession of methamphetamine, a level six felony, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a class A misdemeanor, and resisting law enforcement , a Class A misdemeanor.
