CSP: Investigation into ‘premature death’ in Killingly underway

State police from Troop D in Danielson said they were called to Knox Avenue after receiving a report of a body in the area.

KILLINGLY, Connecticut — An investigation into “untimely death” is underway following the discovery of a body in Killingly on Saturday, Connecticut State Police said Sunday.

State police said officers from Troop D out of Danielson arrived on Knox Avenue at 2:11 p.m. Saturday after receiving a report of a body being found in the area.

Emergency services arrived at the scene and pronounced the person dead, state police said.

The chief medical examiner is working to determine the patient’s cause of death.
