2 men die in plane crash at Six Mile Lake

NONDALTON, Alaska (KTUU) – According to Alaska State Troopers, the wreckage of a plane containing the bodies of two men was reported to officials Friday evening.

A police statement on Saturday said they were alerted to the presence of an upside down aircraft at Six Mile Lake near Nondalton at 9.30pm on Friday evening.

Troopers could not confirm the type of aircraft but said the bodies of 58-year-old Dave Hegers and 45-year-old Aaron Fryer were recovered from the rubble.

The families of the deceased, as well as the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board, have been notified.
