Tulsa man charged with raping 15-year-old girl, now charged with raping two other teens | Local & State

In April, Tulsa police arrested 26-year-old Yander Ramirez for the rape of a 15-year-old girl.

Since that arrest, police have found evidence linking Ramirez to two other rape cases involving teenagers.

In October 2023, a 15-year-old girl reported that she had been raped by a man she met on Snapchat who used Yander as his username, police said.

The victim told police that the man, later identified as Ramirez, claimed to be 17 and later told her he was 21. She said Ramirez gave her both alcohol and marijuana, which made her sick.

She then told police he continued to pressure her to use marijuana even after she vomited. The girl said she eventually passed out and woke up some time later to find Ramirez having sex with her in the back seat of his car while holding his phone.

During the investigation, the Tulsa Police Department’s Special Victims Unit found a video showing Ramirez raping the 15-year-old girl. The investigation was then referred to the District Attorney’s Office and Ramirez was additionally charged with first-degree rape.

SVU detectives also reviewed a case from October 2020. In that case, the girl said Ramirez initially told her he was 19 years old. At the time, he was actually 23. She told police he forced her to perform oral sex on him and then he forced her to have sex.

Because the victim was Native American, the case was referred to federal authorities at the time due to the McGirt ruling.

As a result of the Castro-Huerta ruling, the case has now been referred to the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office, and Ramirez has been additionally charged with second-degree rape.

According to police, Yander Ramirez is now accused of the following:

  • First degree rape (2 cases)
  • Second degree rape
  • Forced sodomy
  • Indecent harassment
  • Disability of an official
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol
