Indian student dies in accident in New York

An Indian student died in an accident on May 22nd.

Belem Atchyuth from Andhra Pradesh, a student at the State University of New York (SUNY), died in a bicycle accident on Wednesday evening. “I am saddened by the untimely death of Shri Belem Atchyuth,” the Consulate General of India said in a post on X.

The consulate expressed its “deepest condolences” to his family and said it was in contact with the “bereaved family and local authorities to provide them with all possible assistance, including the repatriation of the remains to India”.
