Autopsy: Fentanyl found in blood of Dunwoody High School student

The autopsy of a 15-year-old who died due to a medical emergency at Dunwoody High School shows traces of fentanyl and other drugs in her blood.

The DeKalb County Coroner’s Office on Sunday released the autopsy results of an incident in which student Mia Dieguez was found lying on the ground “unconscious and not breathing” in May.

According to the practice report, the following findings were made in her blood:

A police report released in May said school staff administered two doses of Narcan because there was a possibility that medications played a role in the medical emergency.

No further details about the incident have been released, nor is there any new information that the teen will face manslaughter and involuntary manslaughter charges in connection with Dieguez’s death.
