Coeur d’Alene man receives life sentence for child sexual abuse

COEUR d’ALENE – A man has been sentenced to life in prison for sexually abusing four children over nearly a decade.

Jullian P. Sabin, 35, pleaded guilty in March to lewd conduct with a minor under 16 and two counts of sexual abuse of a child under 16, all felonies.

First District Judge Scott Wayman sentenced Sabin this week to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 30 years.

Prosecutors said Sabin abused four different children between 2014 and 2023, who were between the ages of four and 15 at the time of the abuse.

Two of the children disclosed the abuse in 2019, prosecutors said, but the investigation into the matter was closed after the children recanted their allegations. Last October, a grand jury indicted Sabin after all four victims came forward.

Sabin initially pleaded not guilty to all charges, but changed his plea in March, one Friday before the jury trial in the case was set to begin.
