Gilbert woman attacked by stranger with knife early Saturday

The Story County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early Saturday morning attack that left a woman stabbed. The attack occurred just before 5 a.m. Saturday. The victim told authorities that a stranger knocked on her window multiple times at her home near Gilbert High School. When she went outside to confront him, the man attacked her with a knife. Authorities say the man was wearing a red checkered ski mask and is described as stocky and 5’10” tall. He fled the scene on foot. The Story County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attack early Saturday morning that left a woman with stab wounds.

The attack occurred just before 5 a.m. Saturday. The victim told authorities that a stranger knocked on her window several times at her home near Gilbert High School. When she went outside to confront him, the man attacked her with a knife.

According to authorities, the man was wearing a red checkered ski mask and is described as stocky and 5’10” tall. He fled the scene on foot.

The woman was treated at a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
