Man says first-class passenger on US flight ‘had a poop accident.’ Then this happened

The man shared his experiences on Reddit.

A Delta Airlines passenger reported having a bizarre experience on a recent flight after a fellow passenger in first class “had a poop accident” mid-flight. The man shared his experience on Reddit. In a Delta Reddit thread, the man claimed he was on a flight on Thursday when “a passenger in (first class) had a poop accident that caused an incredibly foul odor throughout the cabin.”

He added that the passengers wanted the crew to clean it up, but he insisted that they should not clean up human waste. The man added: “The passengers wanted the flight attendant to clean it up. I went to her and told her that it was not her job and she was doing a great job under the circumstances.”

Was on a crappy flight – great flight attendant

He then posted a picture of a note the flight attendant gave him as he was getting off the plane. “When I got off the plane, she gave me this. I texted Ed to tell him what a great job she did in a stressful situation,” he said.

The note read: “I’m sorry your first class flight was not as pleasant as it should have been. Thank you for your understanding. I sent you some miles. Thank you for traveling so many miles.”

The man stated that he told management “what a great job they did in a stressful situation” when he inquired with them about his flight.

Since it was shared, his post has garnered numerous reactions from social media users.

“Good thing you have the flight attendants back. They definitely don’t get paid enough to clean up a biohazard caused by human waste. I understand that caused a crappy flight (ha!), but that’s just not their job. Years ago I was a gate agent and someone had left a full catheter bag (urine) on the floor of the boarding gate on an inbound flight. I called the airport biohazard team,” one user said.

“Oh my god I would never fly again if I was the customer who had the accident,” added another user.

A third person said: “I feel sorry for the person who had the poop accident. How humiliating!!!”

“I was on the plane when this happened. Good thing I still have masks. They come in handy. Delta doesn’t stick to awarding miles for flight issues,” commented one Reddit user.
